India will take on Bangladesh in the 35th match of the Super 12 stage in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 at Adelaide Oval on Wednesday.

The Men in Blue got off to an excellent start, beating Pakistan and Netherlands in their first two games. But they were outplayed in their last fixture against South Africa, despite Suryakumar Yadav‘s scintillating batting. India will look to bounce back in order to strengthen their chances of qualifying for the semis.

Bangladesh have four points, the same as India, but their massive loss against South Africa has devastated their net run rate. The Tigers will be hoping to make an upset like they did back in the 2007 50-over World Cup.

Pitch and Weather report:

The Adelaide Oval is generally a high-scoring venue, especially under the lights. Showers are expected to hit in the evening, but the game is unlikely to be washed out.

India: Rohit Sharma (c), KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant/Dinesh Karthik (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh

Captain’s corner:

“India is the favourite team, they came here to win the World Cup. We are not favourites. We will try to play our best and try to make an upset,” said Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan ahead of the match.

“We were a little poor in the field, we gave so many chances, and we weren’t clinical. We couldn’t hold our chances, we missed a few run-outs. We need to keep our heads high and take learning from this game,” India captain Rohit Sharma had said on his team’s fielding after the game against the Proteas.
