Indian opener KL Rahul yet again put up a flop show in the ongoing semi-final against England at the T20 World Cup 2022. In a packed Adelaide Oval, Rahul started with a bang as he smashed Ben Stokes for a boundary on the very first ball of the opening over. Rahul then took a single and was batting at 5 after the end of the first over.
But things changed drastically for Rahul when Rahul chased a wide delivery in the second over bowled by Chris Woakes and ended up giving a simple catch to England captain Jos Buttler.
This was Rahul’s fourth single-digit score in the five games he has played against the top eight-ranked teams in T20 World Cups. No wonder the fans were absolutely disappointed with the Karnataka batter, as they left no stone unturned to have a go at Rahul on social media.
Here is how netizens reacted:
I call KL Rahul Fraud for a reason. He is unable to score in important matches and under the pressure. And his non performance pressurises the team ultimately.
This is why
KL Rahul is the Biggest FRAUD in world cricket.#INDvsENG— Amit Kumar (@AMIT_GUJJU) November 10, 2022
If you attach a dynamo to KL Rahul’s head when he gets out, we can generate enough electricity to light up a village.

In the India innings, after Rahul’s dismissal, captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli did hang on for a while, but the disciplined bowling kept the pressure on Indian batters. Eventually, Rohit departed for 27 from 28 deliveries in the ninth over, and soon Suryakumar Yadav also perished for 14.
As the Men in Blue were in trouble, Kohli and Hardik Pandya joined hands to take the game deep. Kohli got dismissed just after hitting his half-century in the 18th over.
But Pandya stayed in the middle and went on an onslaught to push India to a competitive score of 168/6 in their 20 overs. Pandya’s incredible batting helped India gain 68 runs in the last five overs, 54 of which came from Pandya’s bat. He remained dismissed, Hit wicket on the last ball of the innings for a well-made 63 off 33 deliveries, including 4 fours and 5 sixes.
