Australia are all set to host South Africa in a three-match Test series, starting Saturday (December 17) at the Gabba in Brisbane.
The last time both sides met in a Test series was in 2018, when the infamous ball-tampering scandal took place, leaving the entire cricket fraternity shocked.
Not to mention this series is part of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2021-23, where Australia and South Africa are positioned at number one and two, respectively. If the hosts manage to clean sweep, it will guarantee them a spot in next year’s WTC final, regardless of how their tour of India goes in February.
