Team India’s star player Rishabh Pant has been cleared of serious injury after he met with a car accident on early Friday morning.
The 25-year-old was reportedly driving from his residence in Roorkee to New Delhi, when his Mercedes crashed into a road divider on the Narsan border of Roorkee.
Eye-witnesses claimed that Pant’s car caught fire after hitting the divider. Pant made an attempt to come out of the damaged car, but couldn’t do so as he was suffering with multiple injuries. He has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back.
The Uttarakhand news channels have reported that Pant was initially rushed to Roorkee Civil Hospital for treatment. He was later shifted to Max Hospital in Dehradun, where he will undergo MRI scans to determine the extent of his injuries.

Pant was returning home to surprise his mother on the occasion of New Year. According to Roorkee Police, the accident happened because the cricketer fell asleep 1 km ahead of Narsan towards Roorkee.
“Pant met with an accident in Manglaur in Haridwar district when his car hit a divider at 5.30 am on Friday,” Haridwar SSP Ajai Singh said.
The accident has also been caught on camera. The CCTV footage of the incident is surfacing on the internet. The video shows that the car was at a very high speed before colliding with the divider.
