The ninth season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will kickstart on Friday (January 6) in Dhaka. The round-robin matches between the seven teams – Comilla Victorians, Rangpur Riders, Dhaka Dominators, Khulna Tigers, Fortune Barishal, Chattogram Challengers and Sylhet Strikers – are scheduled from January 6 to February 10.

Thereafter, the playoffs will take place among the top 4 sides.

The grand finale of BPL 2023 is slated to be held on February 16 in Dhaka.

In the previous edition, Comilla Victorians clinched the title after registering a thrilling one-run over Fortune Barishal in the summit clash.

This year, a number of players from Pakistan, Sri Lanka and West Indies will ply their trade in the BPL. Top-order batter Unmukt Chand, who moved from India to the United States of America (USA) in August 2021, will play for Chattogram Challengers.
