Zainab, who rose to fame after hosting the Pakistan Super League (PSL), is now all over the moon after finding “something in common” with legendary batter AB de Villiers.
During her recent interview with De Villiers, Zainab got to know about AB’s nickname. She soon took to social media and shared a photograph with the former South Africa captain, revealing AB’s nickname is Abbas.
“Top guy but pleased to know we have something in common. AB’s nickname is Abbas !! @ABdeVilliers17 @SA20_League,” Zainab captioned her post.
SA20 will help young South African players: De Villiers
De Villiers believes that just like the Indian Premier League (IPL) elevated his game to the next level, the SA20 will do the same to young South African players.
“It is difficult to explain the value of youngsters spending time with some of the best players and coaches in the world,” AB was quoted as saying to the broadcasters.
“I had that experience in 2008 in my very first IPL. I found myself in the same dressing room as Glenn McGrath, Dan Vettori, Shoaib Malik, Viru Sehwag the list goes on. The impact that had on my game was immense. You saw my game grow from 2008 onwards and I took it to the next level,” he added.
