The BBL 12 Knockout match was played between Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat at the Docklands Stadium in Melbourne on Sunday, January 29.

Heat won the toss and opted to bowl first. Renegades posted 162-5 on the scoreboard in their allotted 20 overs, with Shaun Marsh leading the way with an unbeaten 82 runs from 53 balls, including 9 fours and 2 sixes. Heat’s fast bowler Xavier Bartlett was the standout performer with 3 wickets for 18 runs.

In reply, Heat started their chase strongly, with opener Usman Khawaja scoring 59 runs from 47 balls, including 8 fours and a six. Josh Brown also contributed with 39 runs from 27 balls, hitting 1 four and 4 sixes. Matt Renshaw finished the game with an unbeaten 27 runs from 13 balls, including 2 sixes and a four. The Heat reached the target with 7 wickets in hand and 18.5 overs to spare.

Bartlett was named the Player of the Match for his impressive fast bowling.

Heat will now face Sydney Sixers for a spot in the final besides Perth Scorchers.
