India’s star fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, still hasn’t recovered from the back injury he sustained last year. The right-arm pacer is likely not to take part in the marquee Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Notably, Bumrah missed the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia due to the same injury.

At first, there were speculations of Bumrah returning to action in the last two Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2023, but the 29-year-old pacer, due to not being fully fit, was left out by the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI). He was not even named in the One Day International (ODI) team of the Men in Blue that will take on Australia after the conclusion of Test series.

The selection committee took the call so as not to stress Bumrah and give him proper time to recover fully ahead of the upcoming ODI World Cup that will be played in India later this year. However, fans were confident that the Gujarat cricketer would return to the field in IPL 2023 for the Mumbai Indians. But their hopes got shattered as in a report by Cricbuzz, it was recently revealed that Bumrah is likely set to miss both IPL 2023 and India’s possible World Test Championship final.

While many were left disappointed with the news, some on social media sparked a meme fest and shared some hilarious posts reacting to the update. On that note, let’s have a look at the meme galore by netizens on Twitter:
