The auction for the much awaited Women’s Premier League (WPL) will be held in Mumbai on Monday, February 13.

A total of 409 players will go under the hammer at the Jio World Convention Centre. 10 Indian and 14 foreign players have registered for the auction at a highest base price of Rs 50 lakh. Meanwhile, 30 players have kept their base prices at INR 40 lakh.

There are 90 slots to be filled and 30 of them must be the overseas players. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how the five franchises – Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Royal Challengers Bangalore and UP Warriorz – fill their rosters.

The auction will start at 9:00 am GMT/2:30pm IST. There will be a break after every hour of the bidding process.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) conducted a pre-auction briefing for the franchises on Sunday (February 12).
