Table of Contents
The Team of the Tournament for the recently concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 has been announced. The special side features the top performers who shined for their respective franchises. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed the team, which was picked by an independent panel headed by Haroon Rashid (Chairman of PSL 8 Technical Committee). The panel included some prominent names like Bazid Khan, Daren Ganga, Nick Knight and Sana Mir.
While selecting the team of PSL 8, the independent panel considered quite a few aspects, such as consistency, impact on the side and overall game. Notably, the final of PSL 2023 took place at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where Lahore Qalandars defeated Multan Sultans by a solitary run.
Shaheen Shah Afridi, under whose leadership the Qalandars bagged their second consecutive title, was named the captain of the team. The special side includes five players from Multan Sultans, two players each from Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi, and one player each from Islamabad United and Karachi Kings.
