The Indian cricket team commenced their Holi festivities aboard their team bus in Ahmedabad prior to the Festival of Colours.

Notably, senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were accompanied by Shubman Gill. They enjoyed music and colours while returning to the hotel from their training session at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

A video of the celebrations, shared by Gill, showed the cricketers singing and dancing to popular songs like ‘Baby Calm Down’ and ‘Rang Barse’.

Similarly, Shreyas Iyer recorded a video of the coloured faces of his teammates and support staff. He shared the same on his Instagram account.

The celebrations continued in the dressing room at the stadium, as evidenced by photos shared by the BCCI.

Despite the festivities, several members of the Indian men’s team will remain focused on their work as they have their final training session at the Narendra Modi Stadium before the fourth and final Test against Australia.

Currently leading 2-1 in the four-Test series, India must win the Ahmedabad Test to secure a spot in the World Test Championship final, scheduled to take place in London in June. Although Australia bounced back from a 0-2 scoreline to defeat India in Indore by nine wickets, they have already qualified for the summit clash. Stand-in captain Steve Smith is leading the Australian team.
