The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah on Tuesday, announced that the women’s national cricket team would be given a full support staff, stating the BCCI would soon advertise various positions for the support staff to enhance the team’s capabilities.
Notably, the Women in Blue have accomplished numerous accolades in top-level cricket competitions. They have won the ACC Asia Cup seven times, secured the silver medal in the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and finished as runners-up twice in the ODI World Cup and once in the 2020 T20 World Cup.
There is no denying that the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side continues to surpass boundaries and set new standards in world cricket, the BCCI is also working diligently to strengthen the team’s management and setup.
“CWG Silver medallists, Asia Cup champions and finalists at T20 and ODI World Cups, @BCCIWomen (Senior Women) have put in one impressive performance after another. It is imperative that we have dedicated, full-fledged support staff to drive the team forward,” tweeted Shah.
“We will soon issue advertisements for various positions for Team India (Senior Women) support staff. Best coaches will be roped in to help our players realise their full potential and achieve excellence on and off the field. 2/2,” he added.

Meanwhile, BCCI also announced the schedule for India’s domestic season 2023-24 on Tuesday. The Senior Women’s T20 Trophy will commence the women’s domestic cricket season from October 19, 2023, to November 09, 2023.
The Senior Women’s Inter Zonal Trophy will succeed the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy and will be held from November 24, 2023, to December 04, 2023. The Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy will commence on January 04, 2024, to kick off the 2024 season, and its final match will be held on January 26, 2024.
