Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 19th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Eden Gardens Stadium on Friday (April 14). While KKR won their last game against Gujarat Titans (GT) in an intense last-over thriller, SRH also registered their maiden win of the tournament by defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS).

Rinku Singh was the standout performer for the Kolkata-based team in their previous game, as he successfully chased down 29 runs in the final over by smashing five consecutive sixes. Meanwhile, Venkatesh Iyer (83) also contributed valuable runs in KKR’s victory over GT. On the other hand, Rahul Tripathi shined for the Hyderabad-based team in their encounter against PBKS and scored a brilliant 74 off just 48 deliveries.

KKR currently sits at the third position in the IPL 2023 points table with two wins in three matches and will aim for yet another victory when they meet SRH on April 14. At the same time, Hyderabad are on the ninth spot with just one win in three games and will look to move up in the points tally by defeating Kolkata.

Pitch report:

The track at the Eden Gardens generally favours the batters but will also provide some assistance to spinners. The dew factor will play a role in the game as well, and the team batting second will have an advantage over the team batting first. Overall, a high-scoring match is expected to take place at the venue.
