Punjab Kings (PBKS) will square off against Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 18th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium on Thursday (April 13). Notably, both teams suffered a loss in their last games. While Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated PBKS in their previous match, Gujarat Titans lost to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a last-ball thriller.

Shikhar Dhawan was the lone warrior for the Punjab-based team and scored a brilliant 99 off 66 deliveries for his side. Meanwhile, Nathan Ellis and Arshdeep Singh were the only bowlers to pick up a wicket for PBKS in their clash against SRH. On the other hand, Vijay Shankar’s storming 63 off 24 balls helped GT post a mammoth total on the scoreboard. However, Gujarat lost the contest to KKR courtesy of Rinku Singh’s sensational finish in the last over. Stand-in skipper Rashid Khan was the pick of the bowlers for GT as he took a hattrick in the game.

Punjab currently sits at the sixth spot in the IPL 2023 points table and would look to move up by winning against GT, whereas the Gujarat-based side is on the fourth position and will eye the top spot when they meet PBKS on April 13.
