Punjab Kings (PBKS) will square off against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 27th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on Thursday (April 20). While PBKS defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their previous game by two wickets, RCB suffered an eight runs loss against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their last match.

Sikandar Raza was the standout performer for the Punjab-based team in their game against LSG, as he scored brilliant 57 runs for his side in the contest and also scalped a wicket for them in the first innings. It is noteworthy that Punjab’s stand-in skipper Sam Curran bagged three wickets for PBKS as well. Meanwhile, Glenn Maxwell (76) and Faf du Plessis (62) hammered brilliant fifties for RCB in the high-scoring affair against CSK but unfortunately couldn’t guide their team to victory.

PBKS are currently on the fifth position in the points tally and will look to move up by defeating the Bangalore-based team on April 20. On the other hand, RCB are on eighth place and will aim to regain momentum with a win against Punjab.
