India’s star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant recently made his first public appearance after his car accident as he attended the Delhi Capitals (DC) match against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium on Tuesday (April 4). While fans were thrilled to have Pant back and flooded social media with speedy recovery messages, a photo of a female spectator also went viral on the internet. The girl in the image can be seen holding a placard with a phrase that mentions popular Indian actress Urvashi Rautela.

The poster that the girl was holding during the clash between DC And GT read: “Thank God Urvashi Is Not Here”. Urvashi took to Twitter to respond to the girl and shared the latter’s photo with a caption, “Why?”. The response by the actress soon became a major talking point among fans.

Notably, Urvashi and Pant have indulged in a few quirky social media exchanges in the past and are often subject to memes and jokes. In many instances, the Bollywood actress has even shared cryptic posts about the Uttarakhand cricketer on her Instagram. She had also posted a picture of herself outside the hospital where Pant underwent treatment.

Talking about the match, Delhi failed to register a win and faced a six-wicket defeat at the hands of the Ahmedabad-based team in the game. Asked to bat first, DC managed to score 162/8 in their allotted 20 overs, whereas GT chased the set target quite comfortably with eleven balls to spare.

This was the second consecutive defeat for the Delhi-based franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, as they also lost their first game of the tournament to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as well. Meanwhile, DC will next face Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Saturday (April 8) at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati and will eye their maiden win of the IPL 2023.
