The first game of the day reached an exciting conclusion when KKR required 29 runs from the final over, with Rinku Singh facing Yash Dayal.

Rinku’s brilliant batting display saw him hit five sixes off the last five balls, leading his team to a stunning victory. The unbeaten 48 off 25 balls included six sixes in total, and it was a testament to his prowess as a batsman.

The chase was initially set up by opener Venkatesh Iyer’s brilliant knock of 83 off just 40 balls. However, after his dismissal, KKR lost quick wickets in succession, and with just nine balls left, the game looked lost for them. But Rinku had other ideas and produced a sensational display of hitting.

His heroics not only led KKR to an unlikely win but also set a new record for the most runs successfully chased in the final over of a T20. It was a moment of pure brilliance that showcased the unpredictable and exciting nature of T20 cricket.

Titans had earlier posted an imposing total of 204-4, thanks to a blistering knock of 63 off just 24 balls by Vijay Shankar. It seemed like they were on course for a comfortable victory when Kolkata lost quick wickets in the middle overs, but Rinku’s knock turned the game on its head.

“I had belief that I could do it,” said Rinku after being named the ‘Player of the Match.’

“I was not thinking a lot, just reacting to the ball that came. I was just trying to hit sixes and it came off in the end.”
