In the 14th match of the Fairbreak Global Women’s T20 2023 tournament, South Coast Sapphires Women faced a defeat against Barmy Army Women at the Kowloon Cricket Club. South Coast Sapphires Women won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Barmy Army put up a formidable score of 168/8 in their 20 overs, thanks to Laura Wolvaardt‘s 49 off 32 balls and Shemaine Campbelle‘s 30 off 17 balls. Jivana Aras was the pick of the South Coast Sapphires bowlers, taking 4 wickets for 32 runs in her 4 overs.

In reply, South Coast Sapphires were restricted to just 107/10 in 15.5 overs, losing the match by a margin of 61 runs. Tash Farrant was the top scorer for the team with 32 runs off 32 balls. Rubina Chhetry was the star with the ball for Barmy Army Women, taking an impressive 5 wickets for just 11 runs in her 4 overs. With this win, Barmy Army have booked their place in the semi final of the tournament.
