Sri Lanka announce complete schedule of the upcoming multi-format series against Bangladesh
Sri Lanka name schedule for multi-format series against Bangladesh

The complete schedule for the upcoming multi-format cricket series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh was announced by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Monday. The series will consist of three One Day International (ODI) matches followed by three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches, all of which will be held in Colombo. The ODI matches will take place at the P. Sara Oval, while the T20Is will be played at the SSC Ground.

The ODI series has been scheduled from April 29 to May 4, while the T20I series is set to take place from May 9 to May 12. The visiting team will arrive on April 25, and before the start of the 50-over series, they will play a warm-up match against SLC Board President XI on April 27.

Notably, Sri Lanka last competed in a multi-format series against India led by Harmanpreet Kaur. The fixtures included three T20I matches, followed by as many ODIs, but the Chamari Athapaththu-led side couldn’t emerge victorious in either of the series. With that in mind, the hosts would be aiming to perform better and achieve more favourable results against Bangladesh.

When it comes to the Women’s Championship Table, Sri Lanka are jointly placed in seventh place with West Indies, having two points after six matches. On the other hand, Bangladesh are positioned in the ninth slot with two points in three games.
