Teams who have changed the most no. of captains in IPL history

Two franchises have changed their captains more than ten times in IPL history.

Here’s the complete list:

1) Punjab Kings (14)
Yuvraj Singh was the first captain of the PBKS, and the franchise has changed 13 skippers so far.
Shikhar Dhawan is currently leading the Mohali-based side in IPL 2023.

2) Delhi Capitals (13)
DC was first captained by Virender Sehwag and then went on to change 12 leaders in 16 years.
David Warner is currently leading the side in the absence of injured Rishabh Pant.

3) Sunrisers Hyderabad (9)
SRH have appointed a total of 9 skippers so far. Kumar Sangakkara first led the side in 2015.
Currently, SRH is being captained by Aiden Markram in the 16th edition of the IPL.

4) Mumbai Indians (7)
Five-time champions MI appointed Sachin Tendulkar as their skipper in the inaugural season of IPL.
Rohit Sharma has been leading the Mumbai-based side since 2013 till today.

5) Royal Challengers Bangalore (7)
Rahul Dravid was the first skipper of RCB, and the team saw six changes after that.
Currently, Faf du Plessis is leading the team in IPL 2023.
