Indian cricket star Virat Kohli and his celebrity wife Anushka Sharma paid a surprise visit to a residential society in Bengaluru on Monday and played a friendly mixed double badminton game. The couple exhibited the demonstration of their fitness and highlighted the importance of sports.

The duo played the badminton game with two lucky residents of the society, which had fun and competitive banter. The thrilling game also featured Virat and Anushka in a never-before-seen avatars.

The renowned couple conveyed a powerful message about incorporating sports and fitness into daily lives and bolstering PUMA India’s ongoing revolutionary initiative, Let There Be Sport, which questions the conservative mentality that sports is bad for academics.

Here is the video:

Speaking on the occasion, Kohli reckoned that sports should be an integral part of everyone’s life and hoped to see people getting motivated and taking up sports as well as fitness as a necessary task in life. He also highlighted PUMA’s effort of making sports an essential activity for all.

“Sports has to be an integral part of everyone’s life. I’m glad that PUMA recognised the need and came forward wholeheartedly to highlight the importance of making it essential, just like other necessities. It was great fun taking time out from our schedules to interact with locals and crashing a meeting at the co-working space to get employees to do fitness challenges. I hope many will be motivated and inspired today and take up sports and fitness as a life skill,” said Kohli.

The former India skipper is currently representing his one and only Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. In seven matches so far, Kohli has scored 279 runs with the help of four half-centuries.
