After a great 2022-23 season and the 2023 T20I World Cup triumph, the Australian Women’s Cricket Team is all set to enter into the 2023/24 summer season. The schedule for the same has been announced by Cricket Australia (CA). The schedule includes a series of T20I and ODI matches against the West Indies and a battle across formats with South Africa on home soil. The season will kick off on October 1 with a T20I match against the Women in Maroon at North Sydney Oval. The teams will then play two more T20Is on October 2 and 5.
After the T20I series, the two teams will play three ODIs. While the first ODI will be played at the Allan Border Field on October 8, the second and third matches will be played at Junction Oval in Melbourne on October 12 and 15.
Following the matches against West Indies, Australia will host South Africa in 2024 for an all-format leg. The battle will start with three-match T20I series, with the first two games taking place at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on January 27 and 28. Meanwhile, the third and final T20I will be played at the Blundstone Arena in Hobart on January 30.
On the other hand, the opening 50-over game between the Women in Yellow and the Proteas side will be played at the Adelaide Oval on February 3, followed by two more matches on February 7 and February 10 at the North Sydney Oval. Notably, the Australian team’s summer season would end after a single Test match against South Africa from February 17 to February 19 at the WACA Ground in Perth.
