Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT) will face each other in the final of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 in Ahmedabad on Sunday (May 28). Notably, CSK and GT have met each other twice in IPL 2023, with both teams emerging victorious on one occasion each.

Speaking of the two team’s most recent clash, Chennai and Gujarat’s last encounter was in Qualifier 1 of the event, where CSK defeated GT by 15 runs. Ruturaj Gaikwad was the standout performer for the Chennai-based team in the contest, as he scored a brilliant 60 runs off 44 deliveries. Ravindra Jadeja also contributed to his team’s win by scoring quickfire 22 runs and claiming two wickets. Meanwhile, despite Shubman Gill‘s resilient 42 off 38 deliveries, the Ahemadabad-based franchise fell short of the set target and ended up losing. However, GT put up a sensational show after the setback against CSK and thrashed Mumbai Indians (MI) by 63 runs in Qualifier 2. Gill hammered a breathtaking 129 off 60 balls in the clash.

CSK will be eying their fifth title when they take the field on Sunday. On the other hand, GT would aim to win their second consecutive trophy by defeating CSK in the IPL 2023 final.
