Delhi Capitals (DC) will battle against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 67th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Arun Jaitely Stadium in Delhi on May 20. This will be the second face-off between the two sides in the IPL 2023.

As far as previous matches of both the teams are concerned, CSK suffered a defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). For CSK, their go-to man of the season, Shivam Dube played a fighting knock of 48 on the pitch, supporting spinners from ball one. But other Chennai batters failed to stand at the crease for the longer period, and as a result, Chennai could score only 148, which proved to be less in the end as KKR won the match by six wickets.

On the other hand, Delhi had to wait till the last over to win the match despite setting the target of 213 for Punjab, as Liam Livingstone wasn’t in the mood to surrender and scored attacking 94 runs in 48 balls.

The last time, DC and CSK met against each other, the Super Kings defeated the Capitals by 27 runs. Matheesha Pathirana was the star performer for CSK with three wickets.

MS Dhoni’s CSK are currently on the second position in the IPL 2023 points table and will look to strengthen their place. On the other hand, DC of David Warner are on the ninth spot and will aim to finish their journey this season on a winning note.

The Arun Jaitley Stadium has short boundaries and generally offers a batter-friendly track. However, the spinners can also receive some help from the surface as the game progresses.
