Asked to bat first, Shubman Gill scored his maiden IPL century (101 off 58) and guided GT to 188/9 in 20 overs. SRH pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar returned with impressive figures of 5 for 30, played a crucial role in restricting GT below 200. In response, SRH were stopped at 154 for 9, thanks to four wickets each from Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma.

The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium offers a batter-friendly track. The bowlers struggle at this venue as they receive very less help from the surface. However, spinners can obtain assistance from the pitch as the game progresses. A high-scoring encounter is expected to take place on Sunday evening.
