In the 64th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Delhi Capitals (DC) got the better of Punjab Kings (PBKS), registering a thrilling 15-run victory at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Wednesday.

Put in to bat; the Capitals posted a massive total of 213/2 in their allotted 20 overs. Captain David Warner scored 46 runs off 31 deliveries, including 5 fours and 2 sixes, while Prithvi Shaw contributed 54 runs off 38 balls, including 7 fours and 1 six.

But Rilee Rossouw was the standout performer for DC as he played an outstanding knock, smashing 82 runs off just 37 deliveries, which included 6 fours and 6 sixes.

Punjab put up a valiant effort in their challenging chase but fell short by 15 runs, finishing at 198/8 in their 20 overs. Atharva Taide shined with the bat with 55 runs off 42 deliveries, including 5 fours and 2 sixes. However, it was Liam Livingstone who kept Punjab in the game.

The England superstar played a magnificent innings, smashing 94 runs off just 48 balls, which included 5 fours and 9 sixes. But, his efforts were not enough to secure the victory for Punjab. Ishant Sharma and Anrich Nortje were the pick of the bowlers for DC, both claiming 2 wickets each.
