In Match 66 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Rajasthan Royals (RR) got the better of Punjab Kings (PBKS) and emerged victorious by 4 wickets at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Friday.

Opting to bowl first, Rajasthan displayed disciplined bowling performances with Navdeep Saini taking a 3-wicket haul and Trent Boult and Adam Zampa making valuable contributions.

Punjab, who looked clueless in the first 10 overs, somehow managed to post a competitive total of 187/5, fueled by impressive knocks from Sam Curran (49), Jitesh Sharma (44), and Shahrukh Khan (41).

In response, Rajasthan  showed their batting prowess. Yashasvi Jaiswal played a brilliant innings, scoring 50 runs off 36 balls, comprising of 8 fours. Similarly, Devdutt Padikkal also played a crucial knock, scoring 51 runs off 30 balls, hitting 5 fours and 3 sixes. Power-striker Shimron Hetmyer provided finishing touches and smashed 46 runs off 28 balls, including 4 fours and 3 sixes as the Royals chased down the target with 6 wickets in hand and kept themselves alive in the playoffs race.
