Mumbai Indians (MI) may play tough cricket on the field, but they ensure that their fans on social media keep getting the daily dose of entertainment. And only some people can keep MI star batsman Suryakumar Yadav out of the scene when it comes to serving fun and laughter. MI’s Mr. 360 batter Surya is a thorough entertainer on the ground and a prankster off the ground.
In a recently uploaded video by MI on their Twitter handle, Surya was seen asking for a lemon from one of the air hostesses and squeezing it in Tilak Varma’s mouth when the latter was having a peaceful nap.
Following Surya’s prank, Varma woke up from his sleep in disbelief. He was seen asking, “Kya hei is mein (What is in it)”. Some teammates of Varma were heard bursting into laughter. MI has captioned the video, “Chain se sona hai toh jaag jao.”

The video has gone viral within no time. It has garnered around 408,000 views and over 12,000 likes so far. Several fans have also flooded the comment box with hilarious responses.
The Paltans, after a disastrous IPL 2022, came back in style in 2023 by qualifying for the Play-offs, and they are now one step away from qualifying for the Final. Suryakumar has been Mumbai’s highest run-getter in the ongoing season, while veteran spinner Piyush Chawla tops the most wickets list for the 5-time champions.
The Rohit Sharma-led side will now take on Gujarat Titans on Friday (May 26) in the second Qualifier in Ahmedabad to decide who will play against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the big final on Sunday (May 28).
