The 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) came to a grand end with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lifting their fifth league title at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Monday (May 29). CSK defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) in the summit clash of the event by five wickets to equal the most league titles record of Mumbai Indians (MI).

It is worth mentioning that the final of IPL 2023 was full of drama, thrill and emotions. The ultimate clash that was shifted to the reserve day due to rain not letting a single ball being bowled on the already decided fixture went down to the wire, with CSK requiring 10 of the last two balls to lift the trophy. Although it seemed a really tough task and many lost hope, the Chennai-based team’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja did the impossible and smashed a six and a four to get CSK over the line.

Soon after the sensational finish, Jadeja ran towards CSK skipper MS Dhoni to celebrate the triumph and hugged the former in joy. Dhoni also couldn’t control his emotions and lifted his deputy. The scenes not only made fans go berserk, but the popular celebrities from the Indian film industry were also on the edge of their seats throughout the nail-biting thriller.

Following CSK’s triumph, many popular movie stars, including Keerthy Suresh, Kartik Aaryan and Ranveer Singh, took to their social media handles and extended their warm wishes to the team on its title-clinching victory.
