Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) faced Gujarat Titans (GT) in their last league stage match of IPL 2023.

Although RCB lost the match, the opening duo of the team etched their name into the history books by becoming the pair with the most 50-plus partnerships in an IPL season.

On that note, here’s the complete list:

RCB skipper Faf and Virat is the duo with the most 50-plus partnerships in an IPL season.

The pair has stitched eight half-century stands in the IPL 2023.

7 – Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers (RCB, 2016)

Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers have webbed seven 50+ partnerships in a single IPL season

Virat and De Villiers added 939 runs for RCB back in the 2016 edition of the league.

7 – Jonny Bairstow, David Warner (SRH, 2019)

Jonny Bairstow and David Warner is the third most successful batting duo in the list.

Bairstow and Warner surpassed the 50-run partnership mark seven times in IPL 2019 and added 791 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

7 – Faf du Plessis, Ruturaj Gaikwad (CSK, 2021)

Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 756 runs for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021.

Du Plessis and Ruturaj webbed seven 50+ partnerships in a single IPL season.
