Punjab Kings (PBKS) produced a dominating show in Match 59 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 and registered a big win over Delhi Capitals (DC) at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday. With the defeat, the Capitals were also eliminated from the race of playoffs in the ongoing 16th season of the cash-rich league.

Batting first, Punjab posted a total of 167/7 in their allotted 20 overs, with Prabhsimran Singh being the standout performer. He scored a magnificent century, scoring 103 runs off just 65 deliveries, which included 10 fours and 6 sixes. In response, Delhi struggled to get going and eventually managed to score only 136/8 in their 20 overs, falling short by 31 runs.

David Warner was the only significant contributor for the Capitals, scoring a quickfire 54 off just 27 deliveries, which included 10 fours and 1 six. For Punjab, Harpreet Brar was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with excellent figures of 4/30 in his four overs. Nathan Ellis and Rahul Chahar also chipped in with two wickets each. Earlier, Ishant Sharma shined with the ball for Delhi, picking up two wickets for 27 runs in his three overs.
