Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has picked a team who according the cricketer-turned-commentator is the most balanced side in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.

It is worth noting that the current 16th season of the lucrative league has now reached a crucial phase where teams will be striving to secure their spot in the playoffs during their upcoming matches.

In the Saturday’s double header, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are hosting Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the first game while Delhi Capitals (DC) will take on northern rivals Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the evening clash.

As both games carry immense importance and two valuable points, all four teams will give their best to emerge victorious, as winning is crucial for staying in contention for the playoffs in IPL 2023.

LSG and PBKS will be looking to secure wins in their upcoming games to stay afloat in the competition. However, if SRH and DC suffer defeats, it may signal the end of their journey in this edition of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Sehwag expressed his belief and reckoned LSG as among the most well-balanced teams in the ongoing tournament.

“Lucknow Super Giants are one of the best and most balanced teams in this tournament. They have done well playing away from home but their performance at home ground in Lucknow hasn’t been up to the mark,” said Sehwag in a chat show on Star Sports.

Notably, the Super Giants are currently placed at the fifth spot in the points table with five wins and as many defeats in 11 matches. The remaining game ended in a no result with both LSG and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) sharing one point each.
