It is to be noted that earlier celebrities from the South Indian film industry also attended an IPL match at the Chepauk stadium in Chennai, where they were seen supporting the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise.
As far as the result of the KKR versus RR match is concerned, despite Venkatesh Iyer‘s resilient half-century knock, the Kolkata-based could manage to post only 149 runs and eventually lost the contest by nine wickets. Yuzvendra Chahal and Yashasvi Jaiswal were the standout performers for their team in the win. While Chahal picked a four-fer in the first innings for RR, Yashasvi contributed by scoring brilliant 98 off 47 deliveries in the run chase.
The loss against Rajasthan resulted in KKR slipping to the seventh spot in the IPL 2023 points table. Meanwhile, RR jumped to the third position after the comprehensive win.
Speaking of their upcoming fixtures, KKR will next face CSK at the Cheapuk stadium on Sunday (May 14), whereas RR’s next game is also on the same day against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
