Talking about the match, CSK got off to an impressive start after put in to bat first, thanks the brilliant batting display from their opening duo, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway. The pair held their ground until the 11th over, with Gaikwad contributing a well-played 60 off 44 balls. However, Gaikwad’s dismissal brought a shift in momentum as GT managed to pick up quick wickets. Despite the setbacks, Conway’s 40-run knock and some valuable cameos from other batsmen allowed Chennai to post a competitive total of 172-7 on the scoreboard.
In reply, GT were bowled out for 157 in their allotted 20 overs as all of CSK’s bowlers were amongst the wickets.
