The 10-team tournament will commence on October 5 in Ahmedabad, where defending champion England will face the 2019 runner-up New Zealand, setting the stage for an enthralling opening match. In a nail-biting encounter, India will square off against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. This will mark the third consecutive year in which the two teams meet in an ICC event in October, following their encounters in the T20 World Cup 2021 (UAE) and T20 World Cup 2022 (Australia).
