Oldest players to score 100+ runs and take 4+ wickets in a single ODI match

Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza recently became the fifth oldest player to smash a hundred and pick a four-fer in a single ODI match after his 4/55 with the ball and 102 with the bat against the Netherlands in the ICC World Cup Qualifiers 2023.

On that note here’s the complete list:

1) Sanath Jayasuriya (33y 193d)

Sri Lanka legend Sanath Jayasuriya is the oldest player to hammer a ton and take a four-fer in a single ODI game.

Jayasuriya achieved the feat against Australia in 2003, where he scored 122 runs and dismissed four batters as well.

2) Tillakaratne Dilshan (34y 147d)

Tillakratne Dilshan is another Sri Lanka veteran to have slammed a century and taken a four-wicket haul in a single ODI match.

His exploit came against Zimbabwe in 2011. Dilshan hammered 144 runs in the match and finished with impressive 4/4 bowling figures.

3) Mohammad Hafeez (34y 267d)

Mohammad Hafeez picked a four-fer against Sri Lanka in 2015 and then went on to slam a hundred as well.

Hafeez is the fourth oldest to have achieved the feat.

4) Viv Richards (35y 11d)

West Indies great Viv Richards did it in 1987 while squaring off against New Zealand.

Richards scored brilliant 119 runs and sent back five Kiwi batters to the pavilion.

5) Sikandar Raza (37y 57d)

Zimbabwe’s star all-rounder is the newest addition to the list after his 4/55 with the ball and 102 with the bat against the Netherlands.

Raza’s breathtaking performance came in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023.
