Pakistan Cricket has announced a power-packed 2023-24 schedule for their women’s cricket team on Friday, June 16. The season will start on September 1, with Pakistan hosting South Africa for the first time and competing in a three-match T20I and as many ODI games series. Notably, all these matches will take place in Karachi.

After the conclusion of matches against South Africa, Pakistan will then tour Bangladesh in October and November 2023. A New Zealand visit will then follow the Bangladesh tour in November and December. Meanwhile, the Women in Green will kickstart 2024 by hosting West Indies in April and May. The season will finally conclude with a tour to England in May.

It is worth mentioning that all the ODI’s Pakistan will play in 2023-24 season are part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25, and and are currently placed second in the points table of the same with five wins in nine 50-over matches.

Speaking about the intense and busy 2023-24 season schedule, Pakistan women’s cricket team captain Nida Dar expressed her excitement and said that she is committed to earning valuable ICC Women’s Championship points for her nation.

“The next 12 months will be incredibly busy for the Pakistan women’s cricket team and I look forward to the upcoming assignments with excitement and anticipation. These matches will contribute significantly in our endeavours to gain experience and exposure, and narrow gap with the front-runners,” said Nida,

“The busy season will start with the home series against South Africa, which will also be my first series as captain. I am hoping to make it a memorable one for myself by not only completing a century of ODIs but also assisting the side to collect valuable ICC Women’s Championship points so that we can finish in the upper half of the draw. However, to achieve this, we will have to play outstandingly well as South Africa is an experienced side that possesses a number of quality players.” she added.

Pakistan Women’s schedule for 2023-24:

  • Sep 2023 – South Africa tour to Pakistan (three ODIs and three T20Is)
  • Oct/Nov 2023 – Pakistan tour to Bangladesh (three ODIs and three T20Is)
  • Nov/Dec 2023 – Pakistan tour to New Zealand (three ODIs and three T20Is)
  • Apr/May 2024 – West Indies tour to Pakistan (three ODIs and five T20Is)
  • May 2024 – Pakistan tour to England (three ODIs and three T20Is)
