Rohit Sharma is currently on a well-deserved break with his family as the Indian cricket team members enjoy a much-needed respite following a hectic period.

With no cricket scheduled until next month, Rohit decided to go on vacation with his wife Ritika Sajdeh and their daughter Samaira.

During the vacation, Rohit shared a delightful photo of his family on Thursday, capturing a joyful moment.

However, it was Ritika’s Instagram story that garnered significant attention the following day. She uploaded a video revealing a remarkable incident involving Rohit. In the video, she disclosed that the 36-year-old cricketer fearlessly jumped into the water to save her phone, demonstrating his quick reflexes and heroism.

Meanwhile, Rohit has recently faced scrutiny following India’s crushing 209-run defeat against Australia in the WTC Final. The Indian team appeared ill-prepared for this pivotal match, and their decision-making regarding player selections and bowling changes came under question. Opting to field four pacers and a spinner while dropping Ravichandran Ashwin turned out to be a misjudged move. As a result, the Indian bowlers struggled to contain Australia, who amassed a formidable total of 469 runs in the first innings.

Throughout the match, India found themselves constantly chasing Australia’s lead after conceding a significant deficit.

This loss in the ICC tournament adds to the ongoing disappointment for the Asian Giants, as their last triumph to lift an ICC trophy dates back to 2013. It is yet another heartbreak for the Indian team, leaving fans longing for a return to success on the international stage.

Well, Rohit still has a chance to redeem himself with the Asia Cup and ODI World Cup lined up in next few months. Notably, India will take on Pakistan in the opening match of the Asia Cup on August 31.
