The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday (June 23) announced a strong Indian squad for the upcoming One Day International (ODI) series against the Caribbean side.
Rohit Sharma has been named the captain of the Indian ODI squad for the West Indies series. Sharma, who has been a prolific run-scorer and a key figure in limited-overs cricket, will have the responsibility to bring fresh perspective and inject new energy in the camp after the disastorous WTC 2023 final campaign against Australia. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya has been appointed as the vice-captain, adding further firepower to the squad.
