The cricketing scenario in the United States is on the verge of a historic moment as the highly anticipated inaugural edition of Major League Cricket (MLC) is set to commence on July 13. The first season of MLC will witness the participation of six teams, namely, Texas Super Kings, Los Angeles Knight Riders, Seattle Orcas, MI New York, San Francisco Unicorns and Washington Freedom.
The Seattle Orcas, in their quest for success in their debut MLC season, have made smart signings to strengthen their squad. They have managed to secure the services of renowned South African wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock, known for his explosive stroke play, and Sri Lanka’s limited-overs captain Dasun Shanaka. The acquisition of these international stars highlights the Orcas’ determination to make a strong impression in the tournament.
Further, the Delhi Capitals-owned franchise has also secured the services of Zimbabwean all-rounder Sikandar Raza, known for his aggressive style of play, and South African veteran pacer Wayne Parnell, adding valuable experience to their lineup.
