Chepauk Super Gillies (CSG) will lock horns with Dindigul Dragons (DD) in the 11th match of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2023 at the NPR College Ground in Dindigul on Wednesday (June 21). CSG suffered an embarrassing eight-wicket defeat at the hands of Lyca Kovai Kings (LKK) in their previous encounter, whereas DD emerged victorious in their last match against Siechem Madurai Panthers (SMP).
Although Harish Kumar played a decent knock of 32 runs for the Chepauk-based team in their match against LKK, his efforts went in vain, with CSG bowlers failing to defend the target. On the other hand, Baba Indrajith shined for DD in their victory over SMP. Indrajith scored quickfire 78 runs off 48 balls in the run chase. Among bowlers, Suboth Bhati and Saravana Kumar bagged three wickets each for DD.
CSG has won two of the three games they played in TNPL 2023 and will look to return to winning ways when they face the Dindugul-based side. Meanwhile, DD are currently unbeaten in the tournament and sits at the top spot of the points table with two wins.
