On Day 3 of the World Test Championship (WTC) Final between Australia and India, both teams experienced several ups and downs in their performance. However, it was during the tea break that a comical incident caught the attention of fans.

During the tea break, cricketer-turned-commentator Harbhajan Singh shared his analysis of the game. Meanwhile, in the background, an Indian spectator with a beer glass unintentionally became a part of the shot. A crew member noticed this and gestured for the fan to put down the glass of bear. This led to a moment of confusion for the fan, who took some time to comprehend the instruction and eventually moved the glass out of the frame of the camera. The incident added a light-hearted touch to the proceedings, amusing the spectators.

Australia on the driving seat

Despite trailing by 296 runs, India seemed to be the more satisfied team as they have already taken crucial wickets, including those of David Warner, Usman Khawaja, Travis Head and Steve Smith in the second innings. Presently, Australia have Marnus Labuschagne and Cameron Green in the middle.

Earlier in the day, India were dismissed for 296 runs in their first innings, conceding a substantial lead of 173 runs to Australia on the third day of the WTC final at The Oval on Friday. Australia, who posted a total of 469 runs in their first innings, reached 23-1 in 11 overs by tea.

For India, noteworthy contributions came from Ajinkya Rahane (89 off 129) and Shardul Thakur (51 off 109), who showcased resilience with their gutsy knocks. Starting the day at 151-5, still 318 runs behind Australia’s first innings total, India lost KS Bharat early in the innings. After Bharat’s dismissal, Rahane and Thakur stitched a valuable partnership of 109 runs for the seventh wicket, helping their team avoid the follow-on.

Pat Cummins stood out for Australia with three wickets, while Mitchell Starc, Scott Boland and Cameron Green claimed two scalps each.
