On Day 4 of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 Final, the Indian players were seen enjoying each other’s company.

Team India was focused on limiting Australia to a low total in their second innings at The Oval on Saturday, June 10. After Australia posted a formidable score of 469 in their first innings, courtesy of centuries by Steve Smith and Travis Head, India were bowled out for 296 conceding a lead of 173 runs. Ajinkya Rahane contributed 89 runs, while Shardul Thakur added a valuable 51 runs, forming a crucial partnership of 109 runs that helped the No.2 ranked Test team recover from a precarious position of 71/4.

In the second innings, the Indian bowlers created difficulties for the Australian batters. Despite making promising starts, , David Warner (1), Usman Khawaja (14), Steve Smith (34), Travis Head (18) and Marnus Labuschagne (41) all fell to the Indian attack on the third day itself.

Amidst the intense moments on the penutimate day of play, the cameras captured a light-hearted incident involving Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill. As Kohli walked back to his position in the slips, he performed a mischevius act targeting Gill. However, Gill’s alertness saved him from the prank just in time, and he even managed to respond with a small gesture of his own.
