Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian captain and one of the most iconic figures in Indian cricket history, is celebrating his 51st birthday on July 8. Ganguly is regarded as one of the most successful captains in Indian cricket, credited with transforming the team’s mindset and instilling a sense of aggression. As a stylish left-handed batter, Ganguly, widely known as “Dada,” played with elegance and had a strong presence at the crease. His batting technique, backed by the ability to play both pace and spin with equal prowess, made him a force to be reckoned with.

Social media platforms witnessed an outpouring of birthday wishes for Ganguly from his former teammates and fans. One of the biggest icons of Indian cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, came up with a witty tweet, revealing how much Ganguly loved the off-side. Tendulkar wrote, “Dadi is one man who would even celebrate his birthday on the offside. That’s how much he loved the offside. Happy birthday, my friend!”

Yuvraj Singh, former India all-rounder who debuted under Ganguly’s captaincy, wished Ganguly with a funny tweet, stating: “When you’re planning the next prank with dada without him knowing that he is the one who will actually be pranked. Happy birthday #dadi! Loads of love always.”

Former India opener Wasim Jaffer came up with a heartwarming message, writing: “This Jersey, this era will always be special for Indian cricket fans. Happy Birthday to the man who led India to new heights during this era. Wish you a wonderful year full of happiness and good health Dada.”

Several other cricket organizations and players, including the Kolkata Knight Riders, BCCI, Jay Shah, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Harbhajan Singh, Rajasthan Royals, and many more, extended their wishes to Ganguly through their social media handles.
