Afghanistan, batting first, posted a total of 154 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Mohammad Nabi was the standout performer with a well-played innings of 54 runs off 40 deliveries, including 6 fours and 1 six.

Azmatullah Omarzai provided a late flourish, smashing 33 runs off just 18 balls, which included 4 sixes. Shakib Al Hasan was the pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh, claiming 2 wickets for 27 runs in his 4 overs.

Chasing a target of 155, Bangladesh showed resilience and managed to achieve victory with 1 ball to spare, reaching 157 for the loss of 8 wickets. Towhid Hridoy played a crucial role in the middle order, scoring a brisk 47 runs off 32 deliveries, including 3 fours and 2 sixes.

Shamim Hossain Patwari also made a valuable contribution with 33 runs off 25 balls. Karim Janat was the standout bowler for Afghanistan, taking a brilliant hat-trick (3 wickets for 15 runs in 1.5 overs) to almost steer visitors to victory.
