India are all set to take on West Indies in the second ODI of the three-match at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday (July 29). It is worth mentioning that the Men in Blue registered a dominating win over the hosts in the opening match at the same venue and currently leads the series (1-0).

Kuldeep Yadav and Ishan Kishan were the standout performers for India in the first ODI. Kuldeep bagged a brilliant four-fer for the Men in Blue in the first innings, while Ishan (52) contributed with a brilliant fifty during the run chase. On the other hand, Shai Hope (43) top-scored for West Indies, with Gudakesh Motie claiming two wickets among the bowlers. However, the duo’s effort went in vain as the Caribbean side lost the contest by five wickets.

India will now be looking to seal the series by gaining an unassailable lead over the Men in Maroon. Meanwhile, West Indies will look to bounce back against the visitors.

Additionally, spinners can expect some assistance from the slow nature of the pitch. On the other hand, seamers will need to rely solely on their bowling accuracy since there won’t be much movement from the track. Given the historical conditions and records at Kensington Oval, the team winning the toss will likely look to chase.
