Joburg Buffaloes (JBL) will cross swords against Cape Town Samp Army (CTSA) in the eighth match of the Zim Afro T10 2023 at the Harare Sports Club on Sunday (July 23). JBL have played two matches in the maiden tournament so far and managed to win one of them. Meanwhile, CTSA competed in three matches and are placed at the top of the points table with two wins.

Speaking of their previous matches, JBL faced a defeat against Durban Qalandars (DB) in their last game, whereas CTSA edged past Bulawayo Braves (BB). Although Tom Banton hammered a brilliant 55 runs off 31 deliveries for JBL in their match against DB, the Buffaloes bowlers failed to defend the target set by batters. On the other hand, Tadiwanashe Marumani (43) was the standout performer for CTSA in their win over BB. Among bowlers, Peter Hatzoglou and Tom Curran picked up two wickets each.

CTSA will be determined to register a win against Buffaloes and strengthen their position at the top, while JBL will look to bounce back when they meet Samp Army.
