The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the highly anticipated 17-man India squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023, scheduled to kick off on August 30. The inclusion of KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer has caught the attention of cricket enthusiasts as they make a much-awaited return to the national squad.

The prestigious Asia Cup tournament will see India competing in Group A, alongside arch-rivals Pakistan and Nepal, adding an extra layer of excitement to the proceedings.

The selected squad features some of India’s cricketing stalwarts, with Rohit Sharma retaining his captaincy role at the helm. The formidable batting lineup is bolstered by the presence of Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav. The wicket-keeping responsibilities will be shared between Ishan Kishan and the returning KL Rahul.

Sanju Samson has also been included in the squad as a backup keeper, emphasizing the team’s readiness for all scenarios.
