Indian batter Shubman Gill has climbed one place to secure the fourth position in the ICC rankings for ODI batters, despite some inconsistencies in his recent 50-over performances. In the most recent ICC ODI rankings, Gill now boasts 743 rating points, making him India’s top-ranked batter in this format. Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq occupy the first and third spots, with South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen positioned between them. However, there have been no alterations in the rankings for India’s prominent players Virat Kohli (ninth) and captain Rohit Sharma (eleventh).

In the inaugural ODI between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Afghanistan’s spin bowler Mujeeb ur Rahman delivered a memorable performance, concluding with figures of 3/33 in 10 overs, dismissing notable players like Babar, Mohammad Rizwan and Usama Mir. Consequently, Mujeeb has made a significant leap from sixth to third place in the ICC ODI Rankings for bowlers, surpassing Rashid Khan, Mohammed Siraj and Matt Henry. The top two bowlers in the rankings remain Australia’s Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc, while the top 10 is completed by players like Trent Boult, Adam Zampa, Shaheen Afridi and Kuldeep Yadav.

Conversely, there have been no modifications in the top 10 of the ICC ODI Rankings for all-rounders, where Shakib Al Hasan continues to hold the coveted number one position.

The latest T20I rankings have witnessed some shifts following the conclusion of the UAE‘s series against New Zealand and the initial games of Ireland‘s series with India.

Suryakumar Yadav’s T20I mastery continues

Despite not participating in the Ireland series, Suryakumar Yadav maintains his position at the top of the T20I rankings for batters. New Zealand’s Mark Chapman emerged as the leading run-scorer in the series, accumulating 126 runs, and this performance propelled him up eight places to 24th in the rankings. Additionally, rising Indian batter Ruturaj Gaikwad made a significant impact, surging up a remarkable 143 places to reach the 87th position, courtesy of his impressive half-century in the second match against Ireland in Dublin.

Bishnoi and Bumrah excels in bowlers rankings

India has more reasons to celebrate in the T20I bowler rankings. Ravi Bishnoi‘s consecutive two-wicket hauls against Ireland have propelled him up 17 places to share the 65th position. Meanwhile, star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has climbed seven spots to reach the 84th position, showcasing an impressive return from injury.
