Ireland will square off against India in the second T20I of the three-match series on Sunday, August 20. The match is scheduled to take place at The Village in Dublin and promises to be a thrilling clash.

India won the opening game of the leg and currently leads the series (1-0). Although the first T20I couldn’t be completed due to persistent rain, the Men in Blue were eventually declared the winners through Duckworth Lewis Method (DLS).

Jasprit Bumrah shined for India in their win over the Irish team. He took two early wickets in the match and didn’t let the hosts settle. On the other hand, Barry McCarthy stood out for Ireland and hammered a brilliant 33-ball 51 runs for his side in the first innings.

India will look to continue their dominance on the Irish tour and gain an unassailable lead over the hosts. At the same time, Ireland would be determined to make a strong comeback against the touring party.

The Dublin Village is renowned for providing a well-rounded cricket pitch that accommodates both batters and bowlers. The fast bowlers tend to hold an advantage due to the swinging conditions during the early stages of the game. Nonetheless, batters have the potential to achieve high scores by spending some time in the middle. Conversely, spinners could encounter difficulties at this venue. The ground’s verdant outfield and moderate dimensions can result in a high-scoring encounter.
